New virus cracks credit cards
A new computer virus “Korgo” raging now in Europe, Asia and North America decodes credit card numbers used in online systems, an Austrian Internet service provider “Vienna Online” informed.
Therein virus looks like its predecessor “Sasser” worm, which incurred huge damage to companies and individuals, ISP experts said.
“Korgo” is not distributed through e-mail, it uses security flaws made by “Sasser”.
New virus attacks mainly “Windows 2000” and “Windows XP” systems, and experts believe that it will cause damage to a small group of users; most of them secured their systems safely with antivirus software after “Sasser” fury.
